Features and application
Grade 2205
Features 2205 stainless steel is a duplex stainless steel in which austenite phase and ferrite phase coexist. This product combines the performance advantages of ferritic and austenitic stainless steel. It has excellent corrosion resistance, mechanical properties and weldability.
E2205 duplex stainless steel has better stress corrosion resistance, crevice corrosion resistance, CI pitting corrosion resistance and grain boundary corrosion resistance than austenitic stainless steels such as 304 and 316L due to its low carbon and nitrogen content. Compared with austenitic stainless steel, its yield strength is twice that of 300 series stainless steel.
This product has excellent welding performance, good plasticity in the welding heat affected zone, and poor sensitivity to welding hot cracks.
Application Widely used in petroleum, chemical, salt production, water conservancy, power plant flue gas desulfurization (FGD), papermaking and other fields
